Embodying Authenticity & Alignment As A Leader

Have you found it hard to lead in alignment with your authentic self?

Getting caught in people-pleasing rather than leading from our essence causes exhaustion and lack of fulfillment. My recent podcast guest, Mathilde Froget, an Integrative Leadership Coach and a Spiritual practitioner who is a guiding light for female leaders, emphasized the importance of tapping into authentic power through self-inquiry and intentional living.

Mathilde’s mission is to “guide women leaders on their journey of liberation...to that place of true authenticity, what it is to be so connected to yourself, to be so connected to your core power, this power that comes from within.”

Aligning the way we lead with our inner truth requires dedicating time and space for practices like self-inquiry, dialogue with emotions, establishing micro-moments of connection, and more.

Define Your “Dharma"

“Dharma truly speaks to the essence of who we are...the path that we're meant to take."

Dharma represents our soul's calling and "the essence of who we are." Explore this by examining what makes you feel most alive and mapping where your energy flows. This clarity helps us evaluate when careers no longer align with our inner truth.

Cultivate Daily Self-Honoring

"Your role exists for a reason, because it costs for your role to exist. If they didn't need that role, the role would not exist."

Consistent "self-honoring, not letting myself down, not self abandoning” prevents burnout. Start days nourishing your body and mind, whether brief meditation or movement. End days reflecting on emotions rather than reactive digital distraction.

Allow Emotions To Surface

"Emotions are here to be expressed, the energy that we need to move through.”

Repressing sadness, anger and more is an inauthentic "conditioning." Carve out space for “emotional mastery” to express feelings through tears, body movement or journaling without judgment.

Intention to action

Take what you learned and move from intention to action.

  • Intention: Discover my soul's calling

Action: Map my energy to identify alignment and misalignment

  • Intention: Establish a self-honoring routine

Action: Design mini self-care rituals into my mornings and evenings

  • Intention: Create space for emotional mastery

Action: Schedule non-judgmental journaling to explore feelings

What positive ripples emerge when we lead from self-awareness and authenticity? Our influence becomes grounded, compassionate and empowering.
