A Journey To Finding & Fostering Love: 3 Lessons To Prepare Yourself For Partnership

What does your ideal vision of partnership look like?

We're constantly surrounded by "perfect" images of romance in movies, social media, and more. It's tempting to compare our real-world dating struggles to the highlight reels we see online and think we're failing. Yet no one relationship can check every box or be seamless at all times. We all deserve partnerships fueled by intention, compassion, and conscious choices.

In this Valentine's Day episode of Leading With Intention, I’m sharing what many of you have been wanting to hear more about… the journey to love. I completely understand the ups and downs of modern dating - I've learned from experience! Now I live and love more fully by first defining my core values and vision to guide me.

Reframing Romantic Success

What does a fulfilling relationship mean to you? Society often pushes a limited perspective of partnership tied to certain timelines, financial security, or status symbols. I encouraged you to expand your mindset from checklists to self-actualization in relationships: realizing your full potential over time with curiosity and compassion.

Embracing Conscious Romance

When we remove judgment about what finding "The One" means, we open space for meaningful connections to unfold. We can thoughtfully co-create bonds stemming from self-knowledge rather than worrying about external validation from others. Knowing and speaking your authentic desires is essential to avoid chasing someone else’s dream relationship.

Intention to action

It’s time to take what you learned from my story and turn insight into action.

Here’s my 3-step framework to Manifest Your Person; click on each for an intention and action to bring more love into your life right now:

  • Intention – Envision your ideal partner and relationship. What does love look like for you?

Action – Make a list of your top 5 non-negotiable core values in a future partner.

  • Intention – Schedule regular solo dates with yourself as if you’re your own partner.

Action – Each day, write down 3 things you love about yourself. Notice patterns over time

  • Intention – Pay attention to the way dating and relationships reveal truths about you.

Action – Journal about a recent conflict: how did your reaction show an area for self-growth?

Loving partnership is about consistent steps forward fueled by compassion – not doing it all perfectly overnight.

When you feel doubtful, come back to your vision. You deserve nothing less than wholehearted connections!
